If there’s a couple that I really like in Nana, that would be Juko and Kyousuke. They just look good together ^_^ I hope Ai Yazawa would write a separate anime/manga about them :)

Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto Cool Character: Kanna Sakyōnosuke

Plot:
Hiroko Matsukata is a woman who works for a magazine company. She puts all she has into her work, and is known as a strong, straight-forward working girl, who can at will turn herself into Hataraki man (working man) mode. Despite Hiroko’s success at work, her life lacks romance. Even though a hard worker, she’d leave early anytime to go on a date. Too bad her boyfriend is even bigger a workaholic than Hiroko.

Hatarakiman is an anime that deals about the corporate world and the characters are salary men and women. I like it since I can relate to it – the everyday happenings in one’s job, gossips, work ettiqutte, etc. It’s funny and enjoyable to watch. The way the plot goes is like every episode they introduce a particular hatarakiman, like there’s ramen man, etc. I was actually surprised as to how it ended. Hiro and Shinji broked up. I thought they are going to get married. At the end however, there’s this scene about her and the guy who takes the photos, Sugawara-san. I wish that they would end up together.

The legendary Pirate King Bruce has been killed by Madame Marciano, the boss of the galactic criminal guild. His bequest to his young daughter Franca is ten billion space dollars hidden in a complex custom vault somewhere on the planet Graceland. However, Graceland is now in such a state of civil war that the president of the Milky Way Federation threatens to blow up the planet in a week. Mister, a notorious space pirate, his sidekicks Bishop and Katana, and his longtime rival Swamp must help Franca get to her inheritance before either Madame Marciano and her twelve android Assassins or private detective Angelica Burns get to them.

I had high hopes for this anime but it did not meet my expectations somehow. I thought it was hillariously funny but it wasn’t. Don’t get me wrong there are some funny scenes (Swamp and Bishop fight scenes) but I just wish the plot is more developed. The art is really good, btw.

Hachikuro live-action j-dorama

Yup, yup! You’ve heard it right!
After the anime and the live-action movie comes the j-dorama! I’m really looking forward to this! I hope this will be fun and the cast is going to great coz I really did not like the cast of the movie esp the one playing Morita.

Guess who’ll be in the lead role?

Yup, it’s Toma-san better known as Nakatsu from the Hanakimi fame!!!

O tanoshimi ni :D

I got curious about the brand “Viviene Westwood” so I researched a little bit -

Dame Vivienne Westwood, DBE, RDI, (born 8 April 1941) is an English fashion designer largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream[1].

She is linked with the Sex Pistols via Malcolm McLaren and their SEX/Seditionaries boutique on King’s Road, in London during the 1970s.

Westwood was born Vivienne Isabel Swire in the village of Tintwistle in Glossop, Derbyshire on April 8 1941, daughter of Dora (Ball) and Gordon Swire, a storekeeper.[2] She studied at the Harrow School of Art (later to become the University of Westminster) for one term. Vivienne went on to attend Trent Park College(later to become the Middlesex University) and later taught at a primary school in North London. She loved teaching.

Vivienne’s first husband was Derek Westwood, with whom she had one child named Ben. Their marriage lasted three years before she met Malcolm McLaren, later known for being the manager for punk band The Sex Pistols. The two had a son named Joseph, and Westwood continued to teach until 1971, when Malcolm decided to open a shop, Let It Rock (also known as Sex, Too Fast To Live Too Young To Die, Seditionaries) where Westwood began to sell her outrageous designs. During this period, Westwood, McLaren, and artist Jamie Reid were influenced by the Situationists. She still owns the shop, which is at 430 King’s Road, and sells her Anglomania label from there. The shop is now known as World’s End.

The punk style began to gain notoriety when the Sex Pistols wore clothes from Westwood and McLaren’s shop at their first gig. The “punk style” included BDSM fashion, bondage gear, safety pins, razor blades, bicycle or lavatory chains on clothing and spiked dog collars that were used as jewelery, as well as outrageous make-up and hair.

Together, Westwood and McLaren revolutionised fashion, and the impact is still felt today. She has only a few exclusive shops including three in London, two in Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Leeds. A ninth will open in Nottingham in 2008. Westwood worked historical factors into her collection by using historical 17th-18th century original cutting principles and modernising them.

Warning: Her collections are soooo expensive! The cheapest that I’ve seen is £35 for a cellphone accessory (What can you expect it’s an inetrnational brand)

Two young women, both with the name Nana, one with a punk backround and another with the naive upper middle class mindset, find each other in Tokyo as they pursue love and careers. Their transition to the adult phase is not without drama. What can I say, I’ve only watched this since I’m hearing nice reviews about this anime. It’s actually entertaining – there’s comedy and drama, viewers wouldn’t be bored. I just don’t like some parts of the plot – the story is too good to be true. And the anime did not have a proper ending – it kept the viewers hanging in the end! Yeah, I know the manga is not yet finished (they just want the fans to purchase the manga – we’re talking of business here). Anyway, I’m curios as to how Ai Yazawa will end this… I’m hoping for a realistic ending, like ParaKiss :)
